your dream guitar
if you could have any guitar, not necessarily the most expensive, just the one you'd love to have more than anything else, what would it be?
mine (pelham blue firebird i):
i'd take an epiphone, but i can't find one anywhere.

If it's doing my job, whatever is in my hands.
I've recently realised I'm completely satisfied with my current guitars. The jazzblaster needs some TLC and the Jaguar has a grounding problem but fuck it, no guitar I ever ever buy is going to be a perfect fit, either I'll have to adapt to it or it'll have to adapt to me so if the guitar already fits, I love it.
I am literally drawing a blank when it comes to one guitar I'd like to own above all others. Usually I have fourteen thousand in my head that I'd like but as for picking one above the rest I've no idea.

I just finished playing mine:
Because of:
I keep considering a U2, especially one of the pre-57 ones with the smaller Peanut body. It's really just a fetish thing, though; I'd probably never use the bridge PUP. The only thing I don't like about my U1 is the tuner holes being drilled out. Yet, it holds tune perfectly. I had a luthier quote me $125 to fill, re-drill, and finish touch-up; it's just a matter of getting that done and she'll be perfect! There is literally no guitar I would like better.

A Gibson Custom Historic (custom shop reissue) LP in tobacco sunburst, plaintop, almost-uniformly chunky neck all the way up (very gradual taper) '58 or '59
Go have a bite or summat
still be hearing that one.

I already own mine.
The first time a Left Handed Mustang was in my price range, I went for it. I was so happy when it arrived, I first held it in the parking lot of the post office.
It's been battered and bruised, it's never failed me even if we've had our "arguments".
No guitar can ever take it's place.
*note* no idea why that tape was there, it's not on it currently, I don't remember putting it on, or taking it off. Weird.

That one's been on sale Jimmy for $1299 Call IN deal from Musicians Friend, don't know if you can swing it but if you want to buy it they'll probably never be a better deal on a new one.
I couldn't have just one either. I like too many different things.BacchusPaul wrote:I agree with Reece. I don't think I could ever have one.
