If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

It really sounds good. It's like small jumbo guitar. Solid Mahogany. Exposed tuning gears. Harmony made them and sold them at Montgomery Ward under the Airline brand.Nick wrote:That airline looks awesome.
It really needs some love. The pickguard is coming up and the action is so high its hard to play above the 5th fret.
I was hoping to bring it back to life but the neck reset it needs would be $600. Maybe one day I can afford to have it fixed up properly.

That's a steal at $1100. I paid $2000 for mine new and that was good for a new one. Mine has the blender system pickups, but I don't plan on changing them to the new expression system.brianeharmonjr wrote:That 614ce is quite nice. There is a red 614ce at my local pawn shop for $1100. If I had the cash I'd buy in an instant and flip it.

In chronological order:
My mom's mid-60's Korean "Marquis" dreadnought. My only acoustic. Good beater.
Epiphone "Goth" LP Studio. Bought it off a coworker after he'd used it in a hardcore band. Finish is beat to hell and repaired with duct tape. The frets are worn but usable. Wouldn't get any money for it so it's staying. Some day in the far and distant future it'll get p-rails, triple shots, and new frets.
Epiphone stratocopy. Impulse Craigslist buy. Plays great but sounds terrible. Horrible bridge, anemic single coils. The neck is excellent, with a thin shredder profile and an almost unfinished (?) feeling. Frets are OK. Eventually it'll be a =W= superstrat.
Two Charvel Model 4's. Impulse Ebay buys. Should've saved that money but oh well. I now have two alternate tuning axes ready to go. Gonna switch out the stock electronics for the EMGs currently in the LP. 1 pickup 1 volume sort of thing. Metal.
Squier Duosonic. Best playing guitar I have and the first new guitar I've owned. Gonna drill it for a string-through hardtail. Gonna throw in some humbuckers with series/parallel/split/split push/pulls for the volume/tone pots. Might de-finish the neck a bit.
