Hipshot D-tuner

Anyone have experience with these, which I believe Hipshot now market as Xtenders? I'm considering fitting one to my Strat, but some people dismiss them as fiddly to set up.

They can be put to interesting use, but I've never used them... They're kinda neat, but useless to me :P I've played a couple basses with them installed and they seem to work pretty well.

Using both the tuner and bridge versions of the hipshot to play a song...

I don't think you really need them unless you're doing that sort of performance arty stuff. Besides, on a floating bridged strat it'd still fuck up the tuning on the other strings.
