Dr Parts, GFS, HOSCO, WARMOTH etc.. necks and bodies

Post by Viljami »

I was thinking about getting a maple neck for my Tele, and was wondering which of the "aftermarket" necks to get. Warmoth is expensive, but good (?), and I'm not really ready shell out approx. 300+€ on a neck, so I'm looking for cheaper alternatives. Would prefer tinted and "ready" necks but working on it (lacquering) not an issue. Please, share the wisdom!

EDIT:

Body experiences also appreciated.

I bought a "satin" finished maple neck from GFS and IMHO it's fantastic. Feels great, but some people aren't fans of two piece maple necks. If you don't like them either you could always go with rosewood.
Anyways, I think it's great and the headstock shape isn't too offensive to my eyes.

I'd highly recommend it...
$42.90+shipping

check out the clearance section for some deals too, that's where I grabbed mine.

I bought a Kramer style neck from CH Guitars on Ebay and it's great. They ship to all of Europe and the US too!

It plays well but yells racial slurs every now and then, then quickly denies them.
