I almost bought one of those MM Lp's this weekend. I really hate the positioning of the vol knob. I wish it was where the jack is..... but at least they didn't put on a fucking strat jack plate.

The pictures make them look properly tiny, as if they are 3/4 guitars. The jack placement is odd, you end up with a shit load of cable stretched over the front of your guitar. Cost saving but looks like bum.

It doesnt appear as though they've done anything about the quality of these guitars, just changed the look a little bit. The ones that came out last year were the worst feeling guitars I've ever played.

They're shit. Truly shoddy pieces of shit. With Gibson on the headstock.

So the choice is: Buy one. You're an idiot. Or think about buying one because Gibson used to be a pretty good guitar maker a while back, but decide against it because it's a piece of shit. Well done, you're not fucking stupid.

They're insultingly bad.

I only saw the red, blue and black in person....if they were not gross in person I would prolly already have one.... the finish looks and feels bad....think of the SG Faded Specials finish but with slightly off colors.... I did not even bother to play the one's I saw.....

Take a peak 4 urself, I bet they sound great....pictars

personally I would save up the extra $150 and get the SG JR....even with the marplez fret board

also skip the new $700 LP Jr's with that weird obeche wood fret board or whatever.... I played the pelam blue one and it looks, sounded and played great, but the fn fret board wood was so soft that I gouged it with a finger nail when playing it...fail

As ekwatts said, these are shit. First impression is "wow, this guitar looks like shit!" The finish is sub ANY Squier ive ever seen. I picked one off the rack at guitar center, held it by the neck and shook it a bit, the whole guitar... irked.. it wasnt a great feeling. Ive seen some really shite gibsons these past few years, but these are the worst.

Pretty much mirror's my first time picking one up. It was so shit I couldn't bring myself to strum.

A melody maker done right is a beautiful thing. These shouldn't even be called melody makers.

The dinky little Melody Maker Flying Vs from last year looked fun to bang around a bit until folks started to open their mouths about it all. Not interested anymore
