i think the heavy relics look pretty good, wi've got 2 or 3 strats and teles' that look nice. personally,i don't like the idea of fake aging, but thay seem to look alot better recently. My only complaint are those stupid over sanded necks :?

it's an awesome job, you've just got to try and try to get a job at a music store. But at the same time think about this 97% of the people i see are the people i dislike the most, metalheads, and old blues guys. but the other 3% are awesome and make it worth it.

I sanded the backs of my Jagmaster and Telecaster necks and they play smoother than my shaft. :)

Sanding the fretboard though... that's just stupid.

Firstly - ew.

Secondly I like a thick gloss on the whole of the neck.

Thin skin white nitro over sunburst & flamed maple neck. What a sweet combo. I hate to say it, but I am digging the heavy relic.

Mr. Moustache, where do you work, Alpha Music? Or is there some other off-beat guitar store that's not a pawn shop in the Norfolk area?

I might have to eat my words if I've ever said anything bad about CS relics in the past. I'm collecting a light relic '59 Strat this evening... pics when I get it!

i saw the rory gallagher strat up close yesterday and was quite offended. it wasn't relicked, just finished to look that way.
i then played a gretsch duo-jet relic, which i didn't even know existed.

Well I only wanted an AV strat, but they're few and far between, and I didn't want a spanking new one either.

the custom shop strats are nice. even the relics are ok if you're into that sort of thing. it's just that rory gallagher one seemed like it was clearcoated or something. i didn't even bother playing it.
