thanks for this mike. I have been looking for an overdrive/distortion recently and your demos have been really invaluable

No worries, I'm always delighted when they're useful to people.

Nice I'm not the only one to notice the clean tone thingy even if it's in both our heads :)

I reckon for me it's the baja that's doing it but I dunno... I wonder how much they will go up on the 1st bugger it
Thanks:-)

haha... thanks. Yeah it's a beast now, and the SD-1 is a smooth Germanium Overdrive.

Nah I bought them, I found a cheap place to buy them. They were £28.99 and £30 respectively and I wanted a project to work on.

Keep your SD-1 mate, it's a fine pedal and I have one now.

so how are you using your pedals now, in conjunction with your amp channels? are you stacking pedals, pushing the input of the amp more?

A little bit of everything.

Generally I use my Clean channel for all my clean stuff (obviously), and my Crunch channel for heavy rhythm parts with JCM800 style overdrive.
The SD-1 is going to be used for light gain/breakup sounds in between those two.
The Klon is for clean boost on my Clean sounds to make clean leads stand out, it also sounds great hitting the Crunch channel into more gain.
The DS-1 is going to be on trial, I might end up using it for our more punky stuff.

sounds like your getting some nice sounds out of that gear.

i'm just running the box of mike and saltboost, though i'm gonna try my sd-1 in front of the BOM for a little more gain.

That'll work well, I hit it with the Saltboost when I was testing and it sounded good.

What tools do you need when changing parts on these pedals?
i wouldn't mind getting an Super overdrive and modding it.

Screwdriver, Soldering Iron, Desoldering Braid, Needle Nose Pliers, Wire strippers, wire clippers, Magnifying Glass, bunch of capacitors, resistors, LEDs, diodes and transistors

Where there's hearsay, London Salt dispels the rumors with much aplomb. Nuther good 'un.

Before and after have so many good tones, and much more usable gain than I thought imaginable...Shame this pedalmod vid just broke youtube, as it doesn't seem to be >THERE< anymore. :?

I've noticed it being really flaky recently, just drops off the map sometimes - the nitwits at Google must be neglecting it.

Thanks for checking it out, I was definitely impressed with the stock pedal, and it can definitely be used as a Crunch source all on it's own.
