Nothing bad, it'll just be a little tougher on your calluses and a quite a bit harder to bend. It'll sound awesome though

brandon. wrote:My pan is almost exactly the same, but with pointier horns. Those pickups are awesome, super garage-y but not without their charm. They really compliment the hollow-ness well.

I shimmed the neck on mine and the action cleaned up really nicely. Also, make sure the nut is nicely cut because it'll give you tons of trouble like mine does.

Brandon, have you done any mods other than the neck shimming?
Do you have any clue where to find a whammy-bar for that sexy trim.

I've heard a lot of people take of this tailpiece, and put a more basic trapeze tail.

ALSO! Is that a tele neck pickup in you p-bass clone?!

I replaced all the wiring except the 3 way switch and pickups. That was a total pain in the ass and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ever. Does your wiring work okay? I had to buy a pair of surgical forceps to reach in there and get it done.
The nut on mine is terrible, as I said before, I need to re-glue it or shape it better, it's a mess.

I haven't been able to find a whammy, but I'd love to, let me know if you find one. I heard that guitarfetish might have something.

That El Degas P bass is totally stock. I think it's supposed to have a pickup cover, but that's the original pickup. It's very cool and sounds just like a P-bass should.

Come to Hamilton man, my new place is literally 2 minutes from the GO Station. Seriously.
