Got my big pedalboard out today for the first time in a few years, was fun picking and arranging the pedals.

Looks great! What size is that cab? 1x12? It’s hard to tell from the pic.

Here’s where I’m currently at:

Loving the Peavey so far! It’s nice to be completely revamping my rig for probably the first time in ~5 years. Next up is my pedalboard - I wanna replace the Pure Octave with a Micro POG and the Black Teeth with a proper RAT. Considering adding a Boss DD3 into the mix, too.

The eagle eyed amongst you might notice my watch attached to the board (I take it off to play guitar) and my plectrum tin marked “CONDOMS (my mum bought this tin covered in creepy illustrations of babies for Christmas one year, she’s a strange lady).

Nice Prince vibes from the Telecaster, I don’t get the hate. I also like the Couch strap.

I think it's a 1x12. Sounds great when dimed.

Used a dimed 4x10 Deville last night whilst baked as fuck. My body feels exhausted from it today

It really is, it's such a sophisticated colour combo; makes the guitar look even more Deco than it already does.

Left Jazzmasters always look amazing to me too, something to do with an unfamiliarity with the flipped body shape making you appreciate it in a different and more immediate way. Lovely stuff.

Thanks guys. The colour reacts beautifully to the light too. I haven’t done a NGD post yet, for once I wanted to play it a bit longer to give a proper opinion, have had it about 10 days. It is really nice, and my first ever jazzy.

Current noisey jams

Finally got the whammyz. I actually bought a wh4 first which had better glitchyness. But it just drew all treble out. The wh5 is much better tone wise even if I miss the pitch wobble and chorus of the Wh4.

Current setup is a Line6 Helix, Strat Plus with a PLEK setup and Fishman Strat pickups and that Fender practice amp we all love.

I can't remember exactly, I'm gonna say about $240, IIRC.

I bought this super cheap Strat off reverb for 350. Ended up dropping 650 after tax on new pickups, wiring, and the PLEK and setup.

I think it's been a solid investment. I was on a quest to get a really nice Strat, I've played some 2-3k monsters that play way worse than this and don't sound as good - I usually hate battery pickups but these are really something.

Very interesting that Reverb.com doesn't show what the person actually solid it for. I'm the 1 offer there, and I defs got it for 350, I remember bragging to my old colleague that I scored this badboy for cheap. Came with a set of 9s on and played a'ite.

The PLEK was well worth it. I'm not going to buy premium guitars ever again. Done it only one time and it was shitty and not worth. I'm going to buy good solid mid range shit (basically do this anyway, but before I used to dream about that nice ass 2k strat or whatever) and then when I get something that's really worth it send it to a place with PLEK machine and decent reviews and get it done up.

SF Guitarworks (where I went) asked me a bunch of questions beforehand, what gauge I string, what shit I play, how do I feel about X and Y. I'm sure some of that was just salesmanship but the guitar came back basically exactly how I wanted it, it's fucking low as hell but no buzz, feels almost unnatural until you get used it and then going back to other guitars is remembering the fight you used to have to put up.

That sounds fucking neat. If I was made of money I’d get my Jag and Tele that treatment.
