Cyclone Project need some wiring help

Post by inscho »

hey guys, I haven't posted much here in the past couple months....but I've been messing around with my cyclone today and wanted to try something out....and I have a question that I know you guys can answer.

right now it has a hot rails in the neck and a pearly gates in the bridge. I'm taking out the hot rails, and wanted to know how I would wire the pearly gates to split with the 3-way toggle.....so the positions on the 3-way would be muted/split/normal.

I'm pretty clueless about guitar wiring, I can follow schematics/diagrams...but I don't really understand how things work well enough to do something like this on my own.

sorry, dude. I closed shop. However, DDDave and I are gonna start renting out a 2-car garage up the street, and we are blending our tools together and starting a company. Perhaps he'd like to make you one. I'm burned out on pickguards. And don't fret...I'll be there to supervise with beer in hand. ((aug))

fuck the 3-way toggle, get an on-on-on slider switch and wire that Pearly Gates to it like: series/coilsplit/parallel. Dew a separate mute switch.

I don't think you could, not certain though.

Series/Parallel basically toggles between your regular humbucker sound and more clarity and brightness like a coil-tap but without the hum or volume drop.

ah.....the pearly gates is a pretty bright pickup as is...so that may be a little shrill....its already a bit more trebly that I'd prefer.
