cigar box guitar

Post by dawnofzion »

I recently just built a cigar box guitar from scratch. It is great sounding slide guitar. Here is a pic of it next to one of my strats.

Has anyone ever built of played one of these? They are a pretty fun little guitar.

I started building a 24" and a baritone, but put them aside like everything else :?

I built the neck and headstock out of poplar. It is a 24.5" scale.

I read that name as "Dawn French" for a minute there, I was slightly worried.

yeah, it was pretty easy. I got a 1x2 piece of poplar and made the neck and headstock. I made this one 24.5" scale. I am going to put a piezo in it and see how it sounds.
