Inlay advice

Post by ludger »

I finally picked up a neck (for my b.d.) to use for my Jazzmaster and was wondering if you could help me with a few questions. I am going to attempt to do the inlays on it myself.

1) Are these the inlays you used Cowbell? Is this a good price for them or can you get them anywhere else? (I haven't really looked yet).

2)Is this nut okay or is there a better one I should get?

Thanks in advance for the help.

My neck arrived today. Three days it took. Fastest delivery I've ever experienced. Here are some pics:

and here's what I've collected so far:

Disregard my dumb questions above shortscale (like you rightfully already did) but I do have one that I need answered. Anyone have the measurements for block inlays of a JM?

White helps fight infection, that's why they are called athletic socks.

Anyway, I'd have to honestly say that is the first time I've ever seen inlays for sell, or separate from a guitar.

Those aren't the ones I used but they are from the same people, you'll just have to cut them to size...I ordered these a couple days ago for the jazz bass, and should work for jazzy, coronado's and jag's too.

MOP LINK

I'll measure the inlays in my coronado, since the jazzmaster and coronado necks are the same ones, they just rounded the headstock shape on coronado's.

Oh awesome! Thanks Cowy! Now I just have to find something to route with and wait for the MOP to come in.

Have you watched the block inlay vids I put on youtube? I used a table scroll saw and sand paper.
