Rosewood tele - DO WANT
Rosewood strat - DO NOT WANT

But personally, no matter how well made a strat is, they all look boring to me. Not a bash at the guitar, they are lovely to play and whathaveyou, just dont like the look.

Unless of course, it's sunburst and been beaten to fuck, then its got mojo.

i think that would distract from the wood grain. solid color either black or white. i'm usually a fan of cream, but even that might distract too much.

it seems like it would get pits in it.

or do they just poly the body and not the fretboard.

and if they do, wouldn't the color of the body not match that of the fretboard over time? just making it look dumb

poly doesn't age as much as lacquer does so i guess the color differences would not be that great.
the more i learn about wood the more i realize that rosewood is the most commone wood in the world.
no joke, it grows in some form or fashion on every place on the earth.
sometimes it has a different name, like cocabola, its just the brother of "rosewood" and rosewood is a ver generic term.
like
when someone says beer, you cna gather two things.
a. its has alcohol in it(most likely)
b. it is liquid
but then you start to think of all the different types of beer, manufacturers etc, then you start to realize that perahaps its not that "special" or " amazing" to have an all rosewood strat.

Typical racist comment. JK. Non sequitur.

I could almost go for that. it's a bit dark. Is that really the color of the wood, or is it just stain?
