I've been working on my ROB OG tele body for a bit over a month. Not quite done. yet. Heres some photos and a request for an opinion.

see anything wrong? look left of the pickguard.. a nasty scratch. It happened from slipping when i was shaving off the paint over the binding with a razorblade.

I'm contemplating leaving it, as fixing it entails a new order of fiesta red. But I'm curious as to what you guys think?

I say stick some red nail varnish on it as a quick cover up, otherwise don't bother. It'll pick up scratches and dings over time anyway.

Dammit, the perfectionist in me is itching to erase that scratch.

I better pass Portfolio Review. I'ma be pissed if I don't because I went through grief and refinished the whole damn El Moco just because of a few scratches and dings.

Absolutely beautiful, completely love binding and that red looks gorgeous. I'd probably refinish it, but it's your geetar etc so depends how anal you want to be.

have you already laid the clears down?
if you have not already laid the clears down then you should be able to squeeze some paint from the bottom of the can and drip it all over the scratch area.
personall i would just fill it with clears and call it a day, but it does look pretty damn nice and an ash trey cover is deffinitly needed.

I really don't get esquires.

Why not add a neck pup for versatility?

I like those pups where a single blade comes out of the guard.

You know, Fiesta Red really starts to look like womens underwear with clear on it. The way it stands, it really just looks like a weird red.

No, it looks like an awesome red.

I think I would definitely fix it. I think you might regret not doing it, even if you probably can't be arsed right now. Road scars are one thing, but razor blade swipes?
