not sure what they go for in the uk, but that seems to be on the higher end of reasonable deals.

It's a nice-looking instrument but I dunno, maybe that is a bit high?

It's probly no great help to you but maybe just as a basic comparison: I paid £280 for my sunburst CIJ Jag last year.

Condition similar to your potential new BF.

It's tricky determining the value of any guitar - it's what it's worth to you that matters etc etc - I guss you've checked the SNo on the Fender site?

(You could get a NEW Baja Tele for £15 more, ya know.)

Did you know I was lookin' at the baja tele ??

Isn't it somethin' where the guys in the game (i.e. you forum members) will hunt out for a bargain deal ?

I seem to remember droppin by guitar shops around 10-12 years ago and they were £600-650. :?

Looked at the S/N and it's 95/96

Don't get me wrong I'm all ears and appreciate the words, you could save me some dosh. :D :D :D

thanks

I thought so too... might try haggle again, he's dropped from £425.

I think I could bag it for £360...

Perhaps us Londoners don't mind paying extra.

thanks

I sold a CAR model a bit back and got about £280 on eVilbay. You have to check the Jag market regularly before listing basically, on my experience i think you are asking a high price in the current market. Three years ago you would have got £400 for it.

Well it's a good-looking guitar - you had a chance to try it on?

Jag's are just so fucking admirable, don't you think?

(Baja Tele also very uh...winsome...You could get one of those!)

Not yet, might go by tomorrow and have a look...

I tried the Baja tele... & the neck was too fat for my linking. For me, my bro's jap fenix tele was better in most ways.

Oh sorry, my mistake.
Well, if you fall in love with it its not an unreasonable price but if you just have gas for a Jaguar its by no means a bargain.

& I bought it anyways....

Got it for £360 which I thought was fair for both.

Is there a thread anywhere describing the switching options ??

I want to know about the 3 on the lower setting.

thanks again for your help.

the three lower switches are as follows (in order of closest to the neck):

- neck pickup on/off
- bridge pickup on/off
- bass cut on/off

keep in mind these switches only work when the switch on the upper horn is down.

You got it, good fer you.

The three lower switches are the lead circuit (reading from neck to bridge):

neck pup on/off (up/down)

bridge pup

bass cut

The upper switch is lead/rhythm circuit (up for rhythm) with its own vol and tone

Enjoy yer Jag

Edit: you got it covered there, Bubbles

Thanks guys....

Sure have mike... I remember the days when I used to drool over jags... eventually I got myself a 61 Jazzy (which I still have) and then a jagstang... but the jag was always the one I was after and now I've got one. :) I now feel completed 14 guitars later. Will check the settings tomorrow with my newly acquired classic 30 :)

I felt the shortscale neck with the JS & Stang was a little too short but because of the larger jag body it just seems sooo damn right. The colourway you see is also my favourite ever on a jag.

I envy you. Near gear time is a luscious period of fun and frolicks. You have it x2 with new amp and guitar.
