that's super old. it used to be on the fender website. then they got rid of it because no one cares about those guitars.

haha

I think it's that fender, like most major manufacturers of all kinds of products, has to focus on the lowest common denominator. There might be plenty of people who are into those guitars but it's nothing compared to the amount of wankers who want a strat and nothing else. It's the opposite of the how it was in the 80s (strats expensive, offsets discontinued and cheap). now the market is flooded with strats, everyone and anyone can get one (or several) and offsets are available only at prices unobtainable to the average dude.

What I'm always wondering is, what are the cheap undervalued guitars now that are like fender offsets in the 80s?

There are plenty of guitars that are undervalued for their quality, but far less so than in the 80s. Ebay and internet forums have made the buyer much more aware of what's out there.

In some cases it's caused prices to rise out of proportion (JV squiers are a good example) with a litle help of vintage mojo arrows.

Someone pointed out somewhere also that the Jazzmaster was introduced at NAMM 1958, not in 1957.
