i have been trying to collect data about the the vintae fender acoustics.
if anyone can inprove on what i have PLEASE DO SO, by copying, and pasting, and then re-inserting correct information.
i pretty much know when the earliest models started but im not sure on the last date of production.

The Low-end Fender solidbodies such as the DuoSonic, MusicMaster, and the Mustang are not collectable and are considered student models. Even with the recent popularity of the Mustang, it's still a short scale, entry level instrument. All these instruments share that basic problem of a shorter scale length, and lower quality electronics.

1. they are collectable....i would say the mustang on the wall at the Binghamton Guitar Center for 1999.99 would attest to that.
2. lower quality electronics? thats just stupid. they use all the same pots, the same wire, and pickups made in the same factory out of the same materials.

Brown and white tolex amps (1960-1963), and some "black face" models (1964-1967) are highly regarded by players. "Silverface" and later models (post 1967) are fine utility amps, but have no collectable value.

so every fender amp according to this page made after 1967 has no collectable value.....? ??? fucking dumb

thats all that i have collected just by watching ebay and searching thru pics from google and whatnot.
those guys are fuckheads.
aren't the stang pups the same as strat pups(i mean vintage) but they had a different casing?
im glad they are around tho, they say everything has a colectability rating of an "f" which means it keeps the vintage market for these things pretty low, which means i can afford to buy one.

I can't remember where I read it, but the pickups were a little different. Same materials, they're just wound less. I think the info I'm speaking of was collect by Seymour Duncan, but I'm not sure...
