It was fucking ace! It was a goth/New Romantic wedding. They were big fans of Duran Duran and the cult, with some punk and classic rock thrown in. Crowd really enjoyed it, dance floor was full too.

I’ve missed playing so much, I felt proper buzzing afterwards. It’s spurred me on to get back into a band a gig regularly again. My old band mates loved it too and said it was like I’d never left. At least I’ve made peace with them and now it’s like the leaving gig I always wanted, going out on a high!! Left as friends again.

They have now got to decide what they are gonna do, as their guitarist is still out of action and don’t know when he be able to rehearse let alone gig. They know I’m available and would love to rejoin on my terms. Just gotta wait it out.

If not, I’ll just reactivate my forming bands account or whatever it is now.

Previous iteration lasted longer than any pedalboard I’ve had (7 months!), but needed some modulation and pad for a couple of songs so this is where I am now:

Love it. Your pedal boards are always so neat, Thom.

This is the setup I plan to use at our next gig.
Primary pedalboard

Satellite board setup on a keyboard stand for hand tweaking silliness.

Going to try a two amp setup again. The vox always sounds great but headroom is limited. So I was thinking about a fender or jazz chorus. But the epi trigger man I already have has a pretty nice clean channel.

Bought the little lehle p split for the job.

How are you finding the dual amp setup? We ended up dual amping Theo's guitar for the Solderer demo recording, splitting the output from his DD3 IIRC. Doubt we'll ever bother with that live but it was cool sondz for sure.

Well only one show in doing it. But yeah I liked it. The sound guy was also pretty excited by it and said it made for a bigger sound being able pan each amp. Only negative is it made me louder still. So my vox was turned right down.

Yeah, the panning thing was actually why we did it for the Solderer demo. I knew we would be tracking everything live, I didn't want to double track and I didn't want a lopsided mix (or to do something cheap like send the guitar to a reverb panned the opposite way).

The main negative is the fuck on. This is setup I admit is a hassle, mainly due to having cables going everywhere. Thankfully the epiphone is very light compared to the vox and if one amp dies I have options.

I just put together an amp shelf for my smaller amps.

My Epiphone Electra EA26-RVT amp is at the repair shop, but my Gibson GA-15RVT is back from repair.

I also made an overflow pedalboard with my extra pedals.
