Sounds different! Haha. No, I'll have to do a side-by-side demo. The transistors are different (the Russian ones typically have a lower noise floor due to less leakage too). The clipping diodes are different too. The Germanium clipping on the Utility Perk is considerably less gritty than using the authentic HP components, which makes for a nicer overdrive.

Here's a custom stereo booster. Sonds kool, and there's two boosters in parallel with a dual gang pot to control the level.

Just seen some of your wares for sale at the new guitar shop next to the Rich Mix. Spent my lunch hour in the shop checking out vintage tweeds & guitars in the basement, nice people seem friendly.

Good stuff. That'll be Vintage Guitar Boutique. They've just put another order in today, so the pedals must be doing alright. Some really nice guitars in the basement, although I was quite taken by the more affordable vintage Guilds upstairs.

Most of these guys are on their way to VGB. Note - we still do the bass modified Harmonic Percolator. I've decided the new Utility Perkolator will also include a nifty low pass filter, so it has a considerably lower noise floor than the HP, without removing any of the good noise.

Cheers Brandon! And thanks for all your help. You personally make the production of the Harmonic Percolator possible!

In other, somewhat related news...

The Utility Perkolator is available to buy now:

There's also a comparison vid with a Harmonic Perc up on the site:

Ah, he kindly forwards them from the source in the USA. The correct transistors are getting harder to find and more expensive!

I completed the boards for a new version of the Do The Weasel Stomp! pedal last night. It's an improved Systech Harmonic Energizer, now further improved with a footswitch for the fuzz, master volume and a fuzz volume control. Worked nicely once I located a duff trace (which took me 45 minutes to find...)

The enclosures are going to be slightly smaller than standard size, so I can use 5x10cm PCBs for both boards.

Nice one Tim!

Edit: oh, and that Weasel circuit board looks like a super neat design.

Cheers guys. The copy is obviously aimed at noobs (the Hendrix, Stones bit) but I think it gets the message across. Been pretty good for sales too! And enquiries from band guys wanting free pedals. :?

I was once in a band but am not anymore. I never received a free pedal. Am I owed something? Is that how this works?
