They're £90, but I can do an intro deal of £80 for Shortscalers.

In case anyone is interested in this sort of thing, I've done a step-by-step build post of the Grumbly Wolf on The Fretboard. It's a new forum for refugees from the MusicRadar forum which was shut down along with all the other Future Publishing forums. Seems like TGP for UKers!

Iiiiit's nothing like TGP you old miseryguts. I quite like it. A bit in its infancy (and that fella was a dick about your post) but I think they've got it pretty right over there.

Ha. Yeah I like it so far too. The TGP comment was based on a few things, although it doesn't descend in ridiculous self-parody at the slightest opportunity. The musical references are a bit TGP. Charvel guitars are discussed without a hint of irony. Someone owns a Dusk Tiger.

Dusk Tiger.

Burning bright.

The metal shop who make my Super Unpleasant Companion enclosures fabricated me a prototype of a Hammond BB sized enclosure with CNC'd holes. Pretty swell jerb, even if the holes are on the wrong side. Obvs if they made another it'd be right ;-)

They also mentioned they can make the smaller, MXR-sized boxes. Think I'll get the next batch of percolators done this way.

Announcing the new Fredric Effects King of Klone!

This is the first production batch, complete with pro metallic gold finish and screen printed artwork. For when one Klone just isn't enough! These are £225/$360 (take ages to build, yadda yadda) and are available now. Postage is £5 UK, £8 EU, £12 elsewhere.

The King of Klone combines two full klone circuits (charge pump, buffer intact) cascaded in a normal B-sized enclosure - see the comparison pic with the Dist+ for an idea of scale.

The pedals are hand-wired, the twin PCBs are our own design and the enclosures are professionally powder coated in metallic gold.

Can't check out the demo as at work but the pics look fantastic. Amazing how you've managed to squeeze everything in so neatly.

I do want a Klon clone but I think a single one might be enough for me. I will check out your demo though.

Here's a prototype of the new CNC machined enclosure I'm going to be using in future. Nifty features include- all the holes being in exactly the right place, a square hole, and I can get these in any size and proportion I like. This one is MXR-sized, however.

Into production!

Here's one of the 200 new enclosures I collected from the metal workshop today. There's 100 Harmonic Percs in metallic black, 50 Grumbly Wolves in white and 50 Unpleasant Companions in sun yellow. This shows how the new bypass boards will work (the boards are prototypes, hence the labels and hackery). I've designed switch/jack boards for true bypass, mil bypass and buffered bypass, which will be swappable across the range. They're joined to the effect board by header sockets.

Tim you are really taking these to the next level - I LOVE these enclosures and those King of Klone guts are fucking MINT. I reckon you're making some of the most visually stylish pedals out there.

I love the DIL connector. That's ace.

LOL @ the cliff jack jumpers - that's bitten me in the past too. Weird fucking jacks.
