I can get this really cheap

Rogue acous/elec. Does anyone have one of these? Are they any good.
I need an elec/acoustic but I don't want to spend a lot as I don't gig and have read mixed reviews, mostly good but I trust SS opinions more than general reviews.

I remember rouge was some sort of Fender budget brand, but I could be mistaken.

I have ended my search for an affordable acoustic personally. I have found that acoustics come in two types... really fucking expense and crap.

If I were you I look for an old Guild or even a Yamaha "red lable" and put a sound hole pick-up on it.

Simon & Patrick will do something good in your price range.

Check CL & ebay for Seagulls and Ovations. They can be found for fair prices used.

i have two rogues and they're essentially a martin knock off. both of mine are built very good, and hold tune forever. they have great sound, and both cost me between $50-100. i wouldn't trade either for anything but they martin's they imitate. they're the "honduran mahogany," whether they are or not.

the one you're looking at is the grand concert one or something, right? they're a little thinner, and don't have much of a sound. get a jumbo sized one, and thank me later. the strings that come on them are exquisite.

also, rogue is made by musicians friend.

The important question is are youplanning on gigging with it or just to beat around on at home. If you are planning on giggin I would say no. The cheaper acoustics like that (if they have electronics at all) usually have very crappy electronics. It is very hard to EQ out a bad pre-amp. It is much easier to EQ/mix a less expensive guitar that has a good pickup (not sure if they still do, but the Ibanex PF5-CENT are decent and used to have a fishman pre-amp) than a better guitar with crappy pre-amp.
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...

i think thats the same model i had a few years back,
the electronics were good, and the stock setup was decent but it sounded like ass, go figure.
bad bracing and playwood make for bad sound.
if its under 100 bucks then its worth it for the electronics or at least a good campfire guitar.
