How low do you sling your guitar?

Post by SoylentGreenIsPeople »

I play mine down as low as I can while still being able to reach it. I have damaged nerves in my elbows. If I keep my arms bent, my pinkies and ring fingers go numb. Too many hours spent playing video games has taken its toll.
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

though, depends on the guitar, I've been feeling the whole wrist issue. It wasn't a problem when I was finger tapping to slow jamz.

the half way point between novoselic and williams has been getting the usual.

Upper horn of the guitar usually comes about an inch above my belt buckle.

Used to be really low till joint damage set in. Now default to a higher midde-ish style but one guitar is pretty high so I can do more techie stuff. My guitars are slowly getting customised towards specific musical ends in that way, so I'm sure the slunghungous will vary accordingly to posing requirements and relative penor contact.

Mine has been moving upward gradually over the last few years, having it so low makes it so much harder to play.

Most guitars, at exactly the height to make it a lovely beltbuckle. My baritone, low.

This high, apparently. Although I think I have it a bit higher than that now, it's around nipple-height. Makes our gigs look a bit lacklustre but this was the only photo I could find when you can clearly see how high it is...

yeah similar for me, although even it's around that height, maybe a tiny bit lower, like the curve behind the top horn is just below my belly button or so, but i hold my guitar a bit more vertical when i play, my arms are too short lol
