Real dream guitars

Post by Mo Law-ka »

I'm tired of talking about crappy guitars that the big guys are releasing nowadays.
Now commencing: We post guitars that are actually cool and awesome.

I'll start.

Not sure what this thread is supposed to be....

The only thing I "want" now is a Rickenbacker 4003 so I can jump around like an idiot with it

Never played any of these, so it's all about the aesthetic appeal I've got towards them.

gibson L5-S (more curious about hearing it & playing it)

gibson es-120t (thanks to robroe & his love of the epiphone granada)

also all the pretty inverness green/aged pelham blue guitars ever. something awesome with a b-bender and all those summer color sg-x's.

Black telecaster, white binding, maple neck, saddle bridge, ashtray cover.

The year is not so important to me, but this is a very nice 1965 refin Jaguar, I would love to have.

Image
Really would like this, when I was visiting London some time ago, tried one out in a shop, really nice.

Image
Nice mapleglo Rickenbacker

Image
Would enjoy this acoustic guitar, think it sounds really nice, not because of Lennon so much, but
like the idea of a single coil and les paulish control knobs on a acoustic.

Those would be my dream guitars, in that order.

Well, I'm very lucky.
I've got the best Tele on earth.

Image
2001 MIM 50's tele with a MIM standard bridge. This guitar is my musical soulmate. Sounds like angels and pitbulls, almost never goes out of tune, and puts up with my abuse. This is the guitar that will stay in my family until it is destroyed utterly by the elements/nuclear war/zombies.

There is only one other guitar that I long for.

And I sold it to Hurb. LIKE A FOOL. But he loves it and I have an AVRI now.

I already have one of my all time dream guitars, my 1969 Maverick. I love it and will never sell it.

Image

Another is this 1966 Jazzmaster that my friend Doug(who used to post here under the name Mr.Mustache) owns. He'll never sell it so I can abandon that dream.

Image

I'd really like to have a 60's non reverse Firebird. This might actually happen one day.

Image

And this one is probably my all time #1, a Guild Thunderbird. I'm unlikely to own one because they're so rare(but that's exactly what I said about the Maverick)

Image

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Rickenbacker 480. I adore them as well.

My dream guitar would actually be a re-do of the RobOg tele I had. Maybe with some real TV Jones pups instead of the GFS (not that the retrotrons sounded bad at all but if we are talking dream who cares....) I loved the look and feel of the guitar (although it was heavy as hell...

Image

I am a tele guy so this was ultimate for me. TO rebuild it right would be my dream guitar.
