Post by Fran »

I think we had one of these a few years ago so i wanted to get a new update on this.

Who's main guitar is a short scale or who has one in their collection?

24.75 scale does'nt count as short scale, choose third option

Nice. I'll add..

I own a Jaguar and Jag-Stang but they are not my main guitars at the moment. Mostly down to low tuning working out better on standard scale chunky necks.

I have 3 main guitars, and they are all Jags. If it makes you feel any better Fran, your Burgundy Mist Jag is still my #1 :)

Tricky question!
All in all I probably play my Jag more than any other guitar I own, so yeah I guess I would say it is my main guitar.
However, most recent gigs I will have used my Les Paul. My nearly exclusive guitar for 8 years or so was my Jag-Stang.
Of my electrics, I've got one 22.5" scale guitar, four 24", two 24.75" and one 25.5". Something about the shortscale that just feels right to me.

my duo-sonic II is my main guitar because it stays in tune forever, i've started taking the jag out to gigs though.

My competition mustang is my main and only guitar at the moment. I hope to get a jag or jm soon though I haven't decided which one I want...

My jagstang is in C# and it feels fine, though I have put 13s on it.
I'm going to change the pickups though, can't do with that humbucker, maybe try a humbucker sized p90, and a lacesensor silver in the neck cause they are just ace. I put a set of silvers in my duo and they sound so cool :)

Don't technically have a Shortscale anymore. Was borrowing the Vista Jagmaster I sold to my dad for a few months. I don't play guitar in a band, so my main bass is def not shortscale. I did play the Musicmaster (bass) live a few times, but sold that too.

Jaguar has become my main guitar, and my main bass is now my Hellcat VI (30" shortscale). I still play my Telecaster and Jazz Bass, but mostly just to switch up :P

I have:

- Cornado (25.5")
- Melody Maker (24.75")
- ES-175 (24.75")
- Hagstrom II (not sure but it's more than 24", probably 24.75" or 25")

I only really play the Hagstrom and Coronado recently. So I guess one full Fender scale, three full Gibson (if that's what scale the hagstrom is) but I only play one of each.

I have a Jazz Bass but it's the standard, full 34" scale, too.

My main guitar is my 69 Maverick. I don't own a shortscale right now but I've had a bunch of Mustangs, two Jaguars, two Jag-Stangs, a Bronco and a Music Master II. I will definitely own more of them in the future. I love shortscales but I'm more comfortable on the 25.5".

My only bass is a shortscale. It's the Epiphone Allen Woody sig.
