Fender have announced some new models.

Mustang with 2 widerange pups !!!

& what is essentially a fender version of the squier 51 and a similar version with an f hole.

They look great !!!

I think Mustangs with humbuckers look too crowded personally. It would help if they moved that bridge assembly back somehow without changing the scale length.

Both guitars sound great to me. Does the Mustang have a TOM? That would be amazing!

This thread is worthless without pictures!

Mustang with dual humbuckers? Sounds like a very interesting idea, especially that I'm a humbucker guy myself.

BTW, anybody noticed how there's PLENTY of new offset guitars now? Blacktops, Squier JM/Jag, now new Fender Mustang and 51/72... somebody at Fender has to really like them. Or rather somebody at Fender wants US to really like them and get a hefty amount of cash out of the new fad, hm.

Its been requested as dealer only so I will keep it under wraps.

72 fender ( 51 shape) has widerange in neck and standard bucker in bridge.

Also new classic vibe colours.

Natural 51 tele looks nice.

I reckon these pics will leak soon, shown at frankfurt messe.

I'd love a crack at a 51 . I had a Squier one and loved it .

And another Mustang model sounds interesting . About time Fender is going back to doing different things .

A double humbucker Mustang with a hard tail? So a Blacktop Duo Sonic? Hmm, actually, I like this idea a lot.

If it's a MIM and cheap, a HH route would be fun for modifications and would actually make pickups easy to choose without worrying about the upside down bridge pickup route.

If it's MIJ and expensive, fuck this shit.

I should really keep shut from here on in.... Read the bottom of the email. Confidential bla blah... don't wanna risk anything.

Most of the excitement is listed above anyways.

I think the mustang and 72 Fender is really gonna set hearts racing. They look really nice !!
