'Dead' by the Pixies

Post by Freddy V-C »

I've done a mix of 'Dead' using some stems I found online. I like it better than the original, which is probably a good sign.

Hear it here and let me know what you think!

Ooh, I didn't know such things existed online!

Sounds good man, I like the more panned guitars.. snare sounds crazyloud, but I guess I'm just comparing it to my memories of the original.

Cheers guys!

@Doog: They're difficult to find, but it's worth looking. A lot of them seem to have been taken from Rock Band, which would make sense. The file extension is usually .mogg, which seems to be a .ogg file where the tracks are separate from each other - I guess it's kind of like an image file where the layers are kept separately. 'Blew' by Nirvana is another decent one I found, so I'm currently messing around with that.

I do have a tendency to make snares SUPER LOUD, but that's how I like it.

There are a shit ton of Rock Band stems flying around. I don't think they like people sharing them, so I don't think it would be good to share direct links.

YEAH! So interesting to hear all the parts separately, especially to one of my faves :)
