Approved. saw it and handled it in a shop yesterday. The neck feels really nice, kind of chunky. seems to have a decent amount of finish on it (HLYSHT! Somebody probably got fired for letting a new <$800 guitar out without a "satin" neck) and it's cheap?!?!?!?

Seems like a great guitar for somebody who likes short scales, bad ass sounds, and cool ass body shapes.

PS, yes, i did search for an earlier thread to add this post to, but you go ahead and search "blacktop jaguar p90" and see what you come up with.

I was really impressed with it's sounds too.... the one I tried surprisingly sharp fret ends though, despite the humbucker model being fine.

Quite a 'cool' guitar in the flesh.

i've only seen them online but think they look badass, too bad the lack of shops here, even worse, the lack of shops that stock anything out of the ordinary.

I played one .. I liked it .. Decent build but the p-90s were a little meh ... But pickups are workable ... Certainly worth the money .

I'm just a little disappointed with the colors. I'm not the biggest fan of candy apple red, and the sunburst examples I've seen haven't really wowed me. It's too bad, because I really like the blacktop HH options of black and silver.

If I remember correctly the one I handled a while back didn't. Or maybe I was to AWED by everything else in that store...

Tried one but thought the p90s fender used sucked balls. Good looking guitar though.

They must, or I would have been instantly and completely repulsed.

would the necks have the same finish across the whole line? a friend of mine has the blacktop jazz bass and its at my shop. i can check tomorrow. another friend of mine has the jazzmaster but im not at his apartment all that often. probably more often than the guitar center though.

How did you guys like 'em? I thought the one I handled was decent. But my memory tells me that the neck was satin... Hm. I'm bound to be wrong...

my blacktop tele has a glossy neck, as have the other blacktop i've played. All of them have felt really nice to play but have been let down by the pickups.

the blacktop jazzmaster neck i got from ends is no more glossy than my mexi strat. not really at all. i love that gd thang

I've only played the Tele and Jazzmaster, both necks were glossy and lovely.
