What you want is a "soldering iron", dude.

And some wire strippers too, by the sound of it.

My Showmaster wiring is taped together. I didn't have my soldering iron when I modded it, so I taped it and it's working fine, so I can't be arsed to do it properly. Tape works!

Dude, it's seriously not "welding", you weld sheets of metal together with that, not tiny blobs of solder that melt in seconds. I do not recommend you go in Radio Shack and request a welder.

Yeah, it does. It's a good idea to make notes of where things are connected before you pull them apart y'know.

Image

See the lug to the right is connected to/part of the metal circle, the one you can see the hole in? Bare wire goes to that one, white wire to the other one.

(edited because I'm an idiot)

The white is the lead and the bare is the ground.

If you are using the pic I posted as a reference...

Red = White
Black = bare

Normally I just solder to the sleeve tip. It's sexy knowing that one day you'll plug a guitar in and nothing will happen.

So fucking hot.
