35$ Fender Cyclone

Post by cobascis »

Yeah. Thats right. Fender Cyclone with everything but pickups. Picking it up tomorrow night. Finish is removed-ish, fucked.

I'm thinking:

Shell Pink
P90 in bridge
no neck pup
hardtail'd strat bridge
vintage tuners

You should convert it into a shell pink cyclone II.

But P90's are awesome too

Ok, I got the cyclone. Bad news first.

Bad News:
Back of neck spraypainted with white paint.
Some white paint on rosewood
Looks like a bad dream
There is an anarchy sign on the guitar (already belt sanded off)
There is no other bad news.

Good News:
I got a $35 Cyclone
Candy Apple red finish is intact under the shit
Vintage tuners
It was 35$
Refin anyway

I got a 70s epi FT140 acoustic with it for 80$ total.

To remove the paint on the rosewood, use cutting polish, carefully, and if it isn't too thick it will come off. You can also try doing this on the finish, but you may end up having to repaint anyway.

I've already sanded it a bunch... The record pickguard idea is awesome. But now the front is like whitefish red and not as punkrox
