Short Scale Bass Builds **updated**

Post by holyCATS1415 »

Building 3 shortscale neck thru basses with Toez10. 2 will have 1 piece maple necks and the other is maple with a walnut stringer. All of them will are kind of loosely based on Rickenbacker designs.

So far, the necks have been roughed out and the fret boards planed and cut to length

Make one of them a six-string bass, like a Bass VI. But Rickenbacker style.

Actually, that would be fucking killer.

I would like the patience and skill to do this. I lack both. Can you post regular pics of your progress? I'd be interested to see how it all comes together.

More progress. Fretboards are on, fret slots are cut, inlays are...inlaid, Neck profiles and heels are pretty well shaped. HolyCATS69420 has his headstock wings glued and clamped on.

This is looking amazing! I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. Are you guys thinking Ric pickups in it?

Looking great so far. Shortscale Rics need to exist, and I'm so happy you're making it happen.
