I know they are expensive, and I'm pretty sure there are people on this board who could throw these together. I unfortunately am not one of those people.

I saw a video on him making the guitars. Apparently they are made one at a time. I like the relicing on these, and the colour choices.
Hell, I just like em.
For the money, I probably would buy something else though. Vintage Jag perhaps?

I played a JM6 and a PX6 at a shop near me and as much as I HAET overpriced boutique anything, I gotta say... I was impressed.
Those Fralin pickups really are incredible and the workmanship of the instruments was without reproach. I can't stomach the price and probably wouldn't buy one of these even if I had the scratch but I admit that they're very nice guitars.

I wouldn't mind having a go at some of these Fralin pickups, one of these days, though.

This is the problem with designs like this, for the money you can own the real thing they are copying. Even though not all vintage Fenders were great and they come with their problems like severe fret wear etc most people would go for the original.

The same is true of Fender themselves. An AV Jazzmaster is over £1500 IIRC, wait a bit longer, save a bit more money up and you can get a real pre CBS.

I like the designs, and they look like quality guitars, but MAN DO I HATE RELICING. Fake mojo is lame.

The only Fano that has really caught my attention over the past few years has been the very quirky (and very not available) pear-shaped Andy Partridge signature.

Hello all...been lurking here a long time but never posted anything.

I actually own a JM6 that is fantastic. I too am not a fan of relic'd anything, but my wife surprised me with one of these for xmas after hearing me comment on it numerous times walking by a local guitar shop.

Needless to say, I was stunned because I never would have bought something this expensive for myself, but after spending many months with it I have to say I truly love it. The neck is killer and the Fralins sound awesome through any amp I have played them through.

Here are some photos of the one I got:

There is one in stock now which I almost like the look of more than mine. The photos do not do it justice...only very slightly "aged" and the chrome p90 covers are badass

If you are seriously considering one, you might want to give Larry at the Deluxe Guitar Exchange a call. Really friendly and helpful guy. He custom orders directly from Dennis Fano. Tell him Jeff who bought the burst JM6 sent ya :)

I've played them .. They're nice . Not $2500-$3000 nice but they're nice .. I wanted one of their Mustang deals with the Bigsby and really considered pulling the trigger around tax time .. But then I realized I can buy a Pawnshop Mustang and take it to a luthier for a TOM , a Bigsby , a paint and some Phatcats and still pocket $1000 . Plus have 24 scale and not pay for it as an option . Realized it just wasn't for me and bought my Billy Corgan Strat AND my Jaguar .

My only reply to this is........

HANG ON TO THAT LADY. No seriously 'H A N G O N T O T H A T L A D Y!

Awesome dude. I saw a viseo with the guy that makes these and was really impressed by his passion, and care for making a quality instrument.
I find guitars like cars. I'd love a Mk II ford escort, but I couldn't be arsed with the constant maintenance, or learning how to do it myself. If I could buy a MK II escort new, with all mod cons I'd consider it. If it was £20, 0000 to buy a new Mk II and much less to buy a vintage, then I probably wouldn't go new.
If I was to get one of these, I think it would be after the big hitters on the GAS list.
But I seriously admire them. Look beautiful and I imagine, as you have confirmed, they play like a dream.

All of this is very, very true. I still like what they are doing over at Fano though. I imagine the quality would make arse paper of the pawn shop range.

I fell in love with this guitar the second time I visited London. Almost bought one. All my friends think they are disgusting. I just love the ugly quirkiness of the thing. On my 'if it comes up at the right price' list. Don't care which spec.
