Lil' Night Train -- little price

Post by Apricat »

Musician Friends has a stupid sale going on where the Lil' Night Train is 150$... I say stupid because after getting all freakin' excited and giddy I realized that they don't ship to Canada.

Just thought I'd share it here so the American folks can take advantage of this great deal :')

Yeah but Sweetwater was selling the 15 watt head for $249...

And I couldn't resist.

So the Night Train 15 is discontinued, according to a Vox rep I just got an email from. Imagine that. I'm guessing that the Lil Night Train's on its way out as well.

I really like my Lil Night Train; it's a cool little amp. I just wish it got on with fuzz pedals a bit better. It'd be a shame if it was discontinued, unless Vox decide to replace it with something even better...

That's just ridiculous. Vox is supposed to be a UK brand and it's £346 over here (£319 from Thomann).

Well it was on sale... Here (Canada) lil' Night Trains are priced well over 300$. I'm sure a sale will come your way soon : D

Yeah, why is it that everything seems more expensive there? Vox, Marshall, even the British brands seem so.

I mean, I understand that Vox is a Korg brand now but Marshall's still in UK.

On the subject, I grabbed a couple of NT cabinets, too.

They sound really good with the "Custom Voiced" Greenbacks.

I can see that the Night Train will have a long life in my arsenal because of sheer convenience and pretty good sound. That said, I prefer my AC4C1 for pure jangle.

Interesting you mention that... my AC15 was the same way out of the box. I had to clip the bright cap for it to get along with fuzz pedals.

Yeah, I'm very tempted to do the same. Did it mess with the tone of your amp much?
