Post by kim »

is there a program to open cubase files (.cpr) without having cubase installed ?

i've been looking around but it seems like i'll have to get a mac version of cubase to open this file i got from a bandmate (they use a ripped windows version..dammit)

tips ?

my wallet will be sorry, haha..anyway... it's the only solution, but isn't it possible to save the things they record in cubase as an mp3 file ?? i mean.. you can do that in simple programs like garageband so i presume cubase has that option too.. right ?

You can export audio to wave/mp3/whatever in cubase. There's also a universal format that works for the later versions of most sequencer software, but i forget what its called.

As far as I know, the only programs that will open a .cpr file are cubase and nuendo. you could try and download a demo of either and then export the files yourself, but I dont know if theyre available.
