New oddball Squier "Mustang" shortscale?

Someone posted about this over on Harmony Central - they said Squier posted a teaser Tweet about it, and that's where they got the image. From what I can see (and the image is all I have to go on at the moment), I'm guessing it's 24" scale - mainly because of the 22 fret neck and the "Mustang" logo on the headstock. Loks kind of like a mixing of Strat and Mustang elements...

Sorry if this is old news - I didn't see anything posted about it yet.

Don't think it's real. The picture came from the (Japanese) Squier twitter account but looks like it was a retweet of something someone had photo shopped.

Google translation of the tweet says (in very bad English):
It is good! That's right would do with a clear conscience of such, What Squier. RT @ battan10: I need your help by all means Squier's the delusion of my guitar STRATANG @ Squier_Official (laughs)

Reminds me of a Fender Bullet with a Mustang neck.

I'd be first in line for one or two if they did.

FWIW, it was posted by Squier Japan. They like doing weird things.

I... kinda like it...
like, if it was cheap (like $179.99)
i'd buy one if only for the wtf-ness of it.
maybe even put a humbucker in the huge sea of pickguard between the pickups?
weird is good in my book
