Did Fender ever make any CAR Mustangs?

The original shortscale guitars; Mustangs, Duo-Sonics, Musicmasters, Jaguars, Broncos, Jag-stang, Jagmaster, Super-Sonic, Cyclone, and Toronados.

Firstly, welcome. Secondly, yes. Fender make pretty much every guitar in this colour. In a way, I'm pretty happy that I don't like it more as a colour. Fender's constantly boring stock colours for most models have stopped me giving them a shitload of money over the years.

Could be wrong on this, but I think the competition series (both original & reissue) are CAR, as are the Pawnshop ones with the WRHBs.

Yop.

Outside of Compstangs and reissues, and Pawnshop Mustangs (both of which were available in CAR, although it was called "Competition Red" on the compstang), and the Fiesta Red Kurt Cobain Mustangs and a few MIJ / CIJ Mustangs that usually don't get imported to the USA in any large numbers, the vast majority of "red" Mustangs are officially called just that - "red." Mustangs were originally available in Red (basically Dakota Red), white (Olympic White), and Blue (Daphne Blue). The current 65 Mustang reissue is available in the three original colors.
