Post by Doog »

My current 'verb VST is fucking shit for anything short and room like.. anyone got some hot tips for good and free (or otherwise) plug-ins?

Everything 'free reverb plug-in' Googlewise was kinda craaaap

I know they aren't free as you have to buy the mag but I found most of the stuff on a computer music magazine disc are good

Have you got any plug-ins which allow convolution reverb? There's a decent-ish one that comes with Reaper. We made our own reverb out of a recording of the locker room up at uni. It sounds great, short and metallic.

Are you using Roomworks SE? That's the only 'verb plugin that comes with the version of Cubase I use, although I only use it for drum tracks. I'd appreciate a bit more choice in that regard, so I'll keep tabs on this thread for alternatives.
