I took these pics just before gluing the fretboard on. The Fretboard is not cut flush to the neck yet.

Some dude from the switch tip forum. Didn't he rip some kid off or get ripped off by a kid back in the JS.com days? Or maybe he built one of ICey's guitars? I don't remember.

I would have got the radiusing done today but I don't have the right sandpaper.

Looking really good! Glad to see something is being done with my ex-guitar.

Small correction to your OG post, though. That picture of it complete is from when I owned it. I replaced the body with sunburst one and traded the complete guitar with both bodies to Pat for this Jazzmaster.

Guess it's time to change my avatar.

I don't think he ripped him off in the end, he just took, like, a year and a half to build one neck.

Regardless of the past he's a standup dude that does quality work and at a reasonable price. Build time is usually a few weeks depending on time he has. I told him to take his time on this and the xii neck. It's only been a few weeks and he's done besides the nut and heel.

Neck and body are currently on their way to Cooterfinger for neck fitting (drilled neck plate screw holes) and for the body to be stripped of the blue paint. Here's the logo for now. Boy is this thing nice. Exact replica.

That body was attacked by morons; $1500 for any hacked body is ridiculous unless it has Luther Perkins's arm attached.

Tuner and string tree problem is solved! Yes, these are original 1969 maverick parts. Don't ask me what I paid for them. LOL.

If you are wondering where I got them... Notice this item has ended 8) http://www.ebay.com/itm/321537044883?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Progress via cooterfinger. Body is completely stripped. Temporary guard is made. Neck centered and holes drilled. Small little gaps on both sides which is weird since the neck has exact measurements of a vintage neck (hoping the poly finish will fill in that gap some) But anyway... She's ready for paint!
