I like metal on metal better. The bottom one matches better with the black switch.

I am liking the lever switch more and more. I think you guys are right and it will work. I like the all black or black metal knobs the best, the all aluminum ones are nice, but a bit on the large size. have to wait and see what looks best once painted I guess.

I used the black and metal ones on this build and it looks good.

Finally it has warmed up enough to shoot paint again. Crazy cold spring or else pouring rain. Got a great deal on a 8 gallon 125 psi compressor at HF. Really like it and it is pretty darn quiet for a compressor. Modified it by getting rid of the out port pressure regulator and added a water trap/filter/pressure regulator. I had to add a 4 inch extension so it would fit. Then I am using a 25' 3/8th hose (should cool the air nicely before hitting the gun). And on eacy of my guns I have a pressure regulator and a final filter/water trap.

The purple gun is a 4 oz touch up gun from HF and once I teflon taped some of it's threaded connections, works great. Since it is a smaller gun, I have found you need to get pretty close (5 inches) and lay down a nice wet coat and do a 50% overlap. I purchased a qt. of duplicolor clear gloss and filter it going into the reservoir. This is sooo much better than using rattle can stuff that takes longer than a month to dry. I have had so much problems with spray can gloss I will never do it again.

Thanks Paul! I'm just waiting for the clear coat to set all the way before I finally put it all together.

Actually, I just need to drill two holes in it and it will be done. It's been sitting around almost done for a long time. I went through a series of tennis elbow issues and then a pinched nerve in my neck that has kept me from playing and, in turn, demotivated me from working on guitars. A friend of mine asked me to set up his kids guitar got me motivated to build and finish my builds again. I even picked up an old teisco with gold foils foe cheap from my local shop that knows I am into old Japanese pickups. My back and elbows keep me from playing, but I'm back at messing about with builds again. So soon I think I will have it done.
