It's what I use, and I'm VERY pleased with the quality of the recording from band practises. Picks up bass great, which is normally an issue I believe for small cheap recorders.

I don't really mess with the mic settings either, so it's probable I'm not using it to it's full potential either.

yeah reviews say sound quality and ease of use is top tier for the price. can be had for £96 on amazon at the moment which is crazy cheap. might as well have a punt

what size sd card do you have? is 2gb enough for a few hours?

I usually use a 4GB. Space depends on recording format - I use CD Stereo 44.1 kHz - so that gets used as you'd expect - 700 MB = 80 minutes, 2GB is about 3+3/4 hours

Yeah, I'm about the same I would say. Easy get 2-3 practices recorded, but I stop between each track/tape as it makes it easier to filter the shit when I'm listening back. I've recorded 3-4 hours worth of live shows on it before with the 4GB card.
