In Scotchland we are much less sophisticated and just chase haggis until we catch them and then toss them into the next field

Not sure I could pull it off tbh.

Although, as much as I love the music,
the St. Vincent signature guitar is truly one of the most culturally important guitars in history
I'm calling bullshit on that.

Haha. Yeah. That might be pushing things at least a little bit.

I love her music and am happy enough that she got a sig guitar (think she deserves it), but they've consistently tried to market this thing as the first solidbody inherently suitable for a woman or something, which is definitely a bit tacky. It's a $2000 indie rock sig guitar, it speaks no more to all women than the Ultracure spoke to all knobs.

I'm pretty sure that part was her idea to begin with, since she designed the guitar to work with her body type and her outfits

Maybe just in the muso world? I can't think of a real CUSTOM signature for a female player since Courtney Love and the Venus?

While I'm suspicious and critical of hyperbole as much as the next lower backpain-ass misanthrope, anything that fanfares a shift in tides away from the rock music sausage party is okay by me.

That said, the new St. Vincent album is boring as shit

The Sterling version of this guitar is on my short list of guitars I want to buy when I get a job.

I kinda love that, but don't know if I could bring myself to pay $600 for a guitar made in Indonesia.

This threads bizarre.

I quite like the model in the first post, but the other models are trying too hard to be different.
There was a budget brand a few years ago doing something similar, all disjointed but clean lines. Nobody gave them a second glance, but because these are from a reputable brand and cool artist we've got an 11 page thread.

Guitarists.

Lole, my girlfriend has a Fret King Espirit I that she bought new for way too much, one of these but in black:

It's surprisingly fast and comfortable to play, this one's not heavy at all. Still ugly af tho, she had the worst taste in guitars and now, in men.

(FYI: I've just set it up for her and gonna do an vid-demo and advertise it for her the WEB soon)

Maybe I could talk them down to $350-400.

$400. For an indo made guitar... with a chip in the finish.

With all respect to Anne Clark, I'd buy a slightly used current hardtail Duo or Mustang in a sick colour instead. Then I'd buy another one. And then one more after a while
