PST Duality Jag-Stang Finished Pg. 2

Post by HNB »

I have a project being put together by PST Guitars off an idea I had. It will be unlike any guitar I have dreamed up so far. I am not going to give it all away yet, but I will say it will be short scale, but it will have a lot of other custom elements.

Here is the decal I made for it.

My "pile" so far. Just missing the soft maple and he should be able to start working.

By the way, this was sort of my inspiration.

I thought this was one of the Scandal sigs at first but no, it's just another cool sig for a Japanese artist I've never heard of.

Scott does really cool things. Originally I was going to do the clear work, but I am just worried I would have a hair or fuzz land in it and I would screw it up. I was also going to use my Jag-Stang neck on it, but Scott talked me in to doing flame maple with that special swirly ebony. He is going to try to copy the back of the neck shape since it is one of my favorites. It will have tele roundovers like Jag-Stangs normally do, but it will have contours. There is still one special detail that isn't done yet, but I will keep that as a surprise.

Sweet body inlay progress! The dots are supposed to mimic a mitsudomoe. (I have one tattooed on my shoulder.) It represents man, earth, and sky.

This is going to be a hardtail, right? I would love to have a collection of custom hardtail offsets (with MIJ necks).

Yeah I am using American Fender hardtail bridge. Like the ones on Telecaster Plus. :) String through body.

More progress! The hanging necks so my stock Jag-Stang neck hanging next to this ones in the middle. I sent it so he could match the shape of the neck better. :)

That ebony is ridiculously amazing. My LP has an ebony board and it's really nice. But what you've got there is just freaking gorgeous.

It's like silt from the banks of the muddy wishkah.
Hell is other people.
