Flip the jaguar control plate mirrored and have the butt follow that line. And do an mustang tailpiece

I'd say the outer green line looks just right if you're gonna change it at all. As is it looks fine too, it reminds me a bit of the big butt on the Vox Tempest I used to have.

Decided on this shape. Best compromise I find.

Decided not to tame the butt. Just something about it.

Mock up:

Haven't completely decided on color either. I like the sonic blue w/ pearl guard but I feel like I would be using tort with another color...

I initially thought no, but agree with Nick. Do with that what you will.

If shortscale was a movie, shaguar would be Andrew McCarthy and that guitar would be Jonathan Silverman. Kurt Cobain would be terry kaiser. And not even the first one. This thread would be the sequel

I think the butt only seems to look a little long, but only if you look at it in a vertical position( like in your photo)..

does it have a standard jag horn? you may have to shorten that , too , if you cutttt that buttt..

you could end with a somewhat (mirrored) Super-Sonic form..

cheers

I cut the butt on my template but I ended up not liking it. So I reverted to the big ass butt. I needed to make a new template because I felt it just looked wrong.

Yes its a standard Jag horn. This is just a template I drew up from those "Jag-Stang Done Right" shapes.
