When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Eastman makes high end jazz guitars and mandolins.

You mean East

FIVE HUNDRED EURO?!? Ridiculous price for such a nothing guitar, and the pic looks like it was photoshopped by a three year old. And that bridge is a travesty.

Yeah, they sure mess up the details on a lot of reissues.

Check out the ugly soundholes on this Fire Bird reissue:

This is the original Teisco:

I lust for a Gemini, though they're probably uncomfortable and terrible.

They've pretty much disappeared now. Oh well!

Also their mustang-lookin tenor and mandocasters seem like they could be fun.

I'd like to see them do a Fender Performer, probably fuck it up though with standard humbuckers and a Strat trem.

I don't see what they've done wrong with the Swinger apart from the bridge, tuners, pickup, pickguard and overall body shape.

The price is a bit rich. It's not a Fender, it's not made in the USA and its not an exact copy, it's Eastwood cashing in on vintage designs.

Like you say, they go to all that effort then drop that generic bridge on it, doesn't make sense. One of those half Telecaster bridges would have looked better and been closer to the original.

In the US it's $500 which is just barely more than a Squier CV or Epi LP. MIM shortscales are about double that.

yeah, price here ain't bad... low enough you could justify buying to modify with a better bridge.

I have an Eastwood Warren Ellis 6. It's kind of a Mustangish looking guitar. I like it except the electronics sound like a trainwreck. Had super bad hum and other unpleasant sounds. A bit less if you're touching it, but something ain't right. Eastwood did say they'd reimburse me for an approved repair. Thinking shielding needs to be added/installed, plus maybe something wrong with the plug. Not sure.
But I like the size of it and the neck feels nice. Maybe I should have just gotten a Mustang. Dunno...I
Am new here, btw. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome. Not a model that I know, pics? "A bit less hum if you're touching" sounds like you have an earthing issue. Try running a wire from the bridge to the outside of the jack and see if that cuts it out.

Thanks I will try that. Will post a pic soon. Looks approximately like the black four string several posts up, only a 6 string guitar version. Mine is dark red though.
Thx again!
