I'd like it if more of my guitars had maple necks.

The only Rosewood fretboard that I have that I really love is my Ovation's, which is Brazilian rosewood (before it was illegal).

My next project will definately need a maple neck.

83% of my guitars that I play have rosewood fretboards, and I do prefer them to maple marginally.

I prefer ebony over all of them, but rosewood is what I have on all but one of my guitars. Maple sucks.

I never noticed. Are they like different colors? Uh, I guess I like a variety. I can't tell the diff when playing. I guess I like the way that maple ages.

I used to love the maple board on my Telecaster, but since the Rickenbacker and Mustang, I think I've gotten used to, and now prefer rosewood.

I had a mexican strat that had rosewood on it but the shit was jet black. I don't know if it was a darker wood, or stained... but that wood brown rosewood is just blah.
Rosewood = softer
Maple = hard but brighter tone
Ebony sounds/feels more like maple but looks like dark rosewood, and that's why it kicks ass.

I think I got that right. *shrugs*

I said rosewood, I have two electrics I play right now, one maple board strat copy, one rose (my jag), and I prefer the look and feel of rosewood. So much so that I really won't buy another guitar that doesn't have a rosewood fretboard, that is what is keeping me from getting a Tele, since Fender blocked Japan imports.

I have all 3. I voted Rosewood, but I do love my maple on my Tele and Mustang.

I have all 3 also. I voted rosewood because it's on most of my guitars and I do like it the most. I love the maple on my MIA strat and both of my teles though! I don't know why more electrics don't actually come with ebony. I think I do probably like it more than rosewood, the fretboard on my Taylor is ebony and I love it!

The old SG faded's came with ebony fretboards and they felt sooooo much nicer than the regular SG specials! The only way to make a cheapo gibson feel good is to give it an Ebony board, cause those old SG fadeds are the only cheapo Gibsons I've ever liked!
