+1.

Sounds good, I like the way playing behind the bridge compliments the music.

Always loved that song.

Nice guitar, dude!! Congrats.

I got mine in Olympic White last month and I'm loving it. Also raised the bridge and shimmed the neck. With 0.11s the guitar is good to go.

I'm a fairly soft player so I didn't notice any rattling in the saddles. Also, no problems with the strings popping out. I really enjoy how you can change the string spacing so easily with the original bridge so I'm not planning on changing it anytime soon. Pickups are surprisingly good as well

Oh! And how did you raise the bridge? I could find an allen wrench to fit the inside of the posts so I removed the bridge and turned the screws with my fingers
You and I both know absolutely nothing

But i did some modding before:
- filed the saddles so the strings can't slip
- raised the bridge
- .011 Strings
- Put some clear nailpolish on the saddle screws, no more rattling

i tuned the guitar yesterday, today it was still in tune, after the rehearsal just a bit out of tune like any other (hardtail) guitar

Here some new pics:

Hard to be sure from photos, but yours doesn't seem to have the usual yellow tint on the neck. Is the neck glossy?

After weeks of struggling with microphonic pickup squeal i removed the claws.
After removing no more squeal even at highgain and high volume.

Best and only mod.

One new mod:

I changed the 1 MegOhm pots to 250 kOhm (bye, bye quackyness and earpiercing highs)
Now the Jag has a real fat rock sound without loosing the original character.

Still sounds like a Jaguar but more grown up.

Oh, and i changed the control knobs (Telecaster barrel knobs)

One additional mod:

The bridge pickup was too beefy and liveless with the 250k pots.
I have a spare pair of Squier VM Jaguar pickups which i bought on ebay.

I took the neck pickup and put it in the bridge position.
So now i have two neck pickups in both positions.
I set the pickup height high in the bridge position and low on the neck so they match in volume.
Perfect sound for me, vintage sounding Jaguar sound with nice smooth top end.
