Ooh-err, never heard of that! I probably won't say it again in that case. Cheers for picking me up on it.

This is how I meant it (not sure how clear this is but it's a link). Kind of a mock-archaic, sarcastic, semi-affectionate way of calling someone a wind-up merchant.
I'd never heard it used that way before. That's a nice, sort of charming expression, I like it.

The way that I'd heard it used might well be a Derry specific thing, where everyone is on the dole, has a bad back and drives a DLA car.

Yeah, that's sort of what I've always thought it meant. Or, as Chambers would have it,
card1 noun 1 a kind of thick, stiff paper or thin cardboard. 2 (also playing card) a rectangular piece of card bearing a design, usually one of a set, used eg for playing games, fortune-telling, etc. 3 a small rectangular piece of card or plastic, showing eg one's identity, job, membership of an organization, etc. 4 a small rectangular piece of stiff plastic issued by a bank, etc to a customer, used eg instead of cash or a cheque when making payments, as a guarantee for a cheque, for operating a cash machine, etc. See also credit card, debit card. 5 computing a piece of card on which information is stored in the form of punched holes or magnetic codes. 6 a piece of card, usually folded double and bearing a design and message, sent to someone on a special occasion • Christmas card. 7 a postcard. 8 old use, colloq an amusing person.
Looks like it's only Bacchus who uses it to oppress disabled people.

I know this is shortscale and all but...
I could really go for a Squier Jazzmaster with single coil pickups, a trem, and a non-string throwing bridge that is not the Jay Mascis. They seems to be all about the Jaguar instead.

*edit*
YIKES
Ok I just checked and I guess Squier does make that McDonald's themed jazzmaster. Sorry too ugly.

Also available in buttercream, polar white and sage green metallic. Can't seem to get the photos for the other colours to work though.

The Jazzmaster keeps turning up in the hands of musical visionaries and rebels; it’s the ideal foundation for your sound. Rugged, raw and powerful, this guitar is ready to throw down.

Likely a 4 or 5-way. Neck, neck+bucker, bucker, split 1, split+neck?

I think that's just a standard 3-way. The coil split switch is on the upper horn.

The Mushy Peas green is quite cool.

Prefer the active models though, it's new territory for Squier and Fender, as far as I can remember.
We don't like new though, do we? Where's the fookin single coils and traditional decal? Why is the wood white as fuck?
