Genius Otis Rush, RIP

Post by Doug »

Otis Rush...so sad, such a loss! Ever since I first heard The Bluesbreakers cover it in 1967, "All your Lovin" has been my favorite Chicago Blues tune. Later I was blown away by the original Cobra recording. Otis' genius created melody, amazing changes, lyrics with a raw, controlled voice, and tone, that had that rare synergy of elegant raucous rockin music.

Bless us all, Otis.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts

Yeah, I was struck by Marty Balin's passing. So young. Thanks for reminding us, FM.
