Epiphone DC Pro

Post by Bacchus »

Found myself liking this really rather a lot. Don't think I'd ever buy one, but it's nice.

One of my friends bought something similar about 15 years back, whatever Epiphone Korea were knocking out at the time.
It was okay.
No sonic identity though, it wasn't a Les Paul, it wasn't a SG, it wasn't a Junior, it was just... okay.
I found this with some PRS and Eggle as well. They play beautifully but the sound is in no man's land, lacking in character, wouldn't stand out in the mix, a bit meh.

I love dc models as well but the Junior is the only one that stands out for me.

I think I like it because it looks like something you would find in cash converters that's Eighties, Japanese, and cheap because someone's stuck a Kahler on it.

It's kind of like that '90s Gibson DC, which also has 25 frets, but the shape on that Epiphone looks a lot shittier.

The Tak Matsumoto looked better too.

They might have had others, I've seen all kinds of stuff in old Epiphone catalogues.

When you press the accelerator past halfway it doesn’t actually go any faster, but the engine noise distorts
