I'd like to try out some of the vintage Strats and Teles. I've been thinking about getting a vintage configured Fender for a while.

the modified 50's tele has 4 way switch, push button, fat ass neck, custom shop bridge pickup, twisted tele neck

12:00 into it they get the Cutom Tele out. "slim C neck, 7.25 fretboard, vintage frets, 3 bolt micro tilt, F tuners" IM ALL FUCKIN IN ON THIS

I actually remember reading a Harmony Central review of CIJ Jaguars in the late '90s where a guy complained that it has microphonic feedback, "not the good kind of feedback (Nirvana/Pantera)"

really stoked that Gibson and fender are doing these redesigns of their lines adding some stuff I'd of loved 10 years ago. as long as Squier keeps up this should be a good few years for guitars, hopefully good stuff keeps coming. Seems like they're finally listening.

I have a Jazzmaster that basically looks like this, it was a CIJ "old lake placid blue" that somebody modified with USA electronics and a tort guard. I still have it but I'm not even sure where it is.

These prices are crazy though, nearly $1200 bucks for a Made in Mexico modified Jaguar.

^ That.

But price aside, I can't understand why Fender think it's acceptable to offer any model in only two colors. TWO. It's sort of infuriating that you can get the vintage spec JM in ice blue with a matching headstock, but not the "modified" one. Same with the vintage spec Jaguar getting OTM. Come on, why not offer a modern spec JM in OTM with matching headstock? I can only figure they're expecting people to do the "build your own" thing for custom colors, but at that price ($1799.99 US), I'd rather do something like an MJT build.
