Yeah, it really screams "80s" And kind of reminds me of my dad's red sparkle yamaha or peavy or whatever with the black pickguard. Looked like a goddamn luxury bass boat.

It's a refin. The paint on lots of the Lead series went really bad (milky, flaking) due to the CBS execs furiously jizzing in the paintpots to make the stuff go further and save a few cents.

^Ah, I've often wondered what caused that. I should've known it would be jizz as usual.

The first ever Hard Rock Cafe artist instrument, Clapton's Lead II, has the typical finish issues (I'm sure hanging on the wall of a London burger bar for years didn't help).
